One of the most famous military knives of our time.

There are many books about the history and development of the USMC Fighting and Utility knife. Our aim was to built a high quality version with the renowned blacksmith and knifemaker Claude Bouchonville.

You will find elements from different makers and periods in this modell.

Long storry short: We wanted to built the best knife available.

The Blade:

80CrV2 is known as a solid Steel, with excelent cutting abilities and a high shock restistance. A propper heattreatment makes 80CrV2 the perfect choice for a tactical/miltary knife. To avoid corrosion and unintentional reflections the blade had been pakerdized.

The Handle:

A nice fact is, that the steel of the pommel is another one as used for the guard and also a little bit softer. If the pommel is used for striking or hammering the impacts are not damaging the micarta because they are transfered into the tang. The tang is pretty overdimenzioned so it will never cause a problem. By the way the grey and brown micarta was handmade for this project in the US. It costs more than excotic wood.

The Sheath:

It doesn't matter if left or right hand. On your belt or carried tip up on chestrig or platecarrier. As slick as possible as tough as needed. Easy to carry easy to mount. The sheath is constructed with an angular end to prevent difficulty or harming in the field and airborne operations.
